A few months ago, we received and email that told the tale of a man who narrowly escapes a lightening strike. Vividly written, podcast listener and email correspondence tower contributor, Drew, painted a picture that put listeners on the edge of their seat... until he had to "Give it the beans!"
Leah, not ever having heard this phrase in her life, laughed completely confused as to what kind of beans one might have to give to get out of dodge.
And so we ended up with coffee beans! Not just any coffee beans, single origin, fair trade, small batch roasted whole coffee beans in 12oz. packages with a special edition label that doubles as a decal that can be removed from the package to be put on whatever you might want to give some beans.
We partnered with Josh's favorite local coffee roaster that has a direct relationship with the farm the coffee beans come from. Here's some details about this delicious bean juice.
Producer: Accresco Farms
Farm: Arabia - El Mirador
Importer: Accresco Imports
Tasting Notes: Chocolate, Citrus Acidity, Nutty
About the Farm:
Accresco S.A.S is a family business dedicated to agriculture in the town of Salgar. Spanning five generations, they name their beans after members of the Maya family. They are passionate about coffee, and are highly involved in every step of the bean-to-cup process.
Our coffee roaster has committed to buying coffee from Accresco Farms, and invested money directly into infrastructure improvements at origin, and supported the growth of Accresco Imports here in the States. We are proud to partner with a roaster that has that extra level of investment and very simply believe it is the right step for us in our pursuit of sustainability.
